We rebuilt the network and deployed intelligent redundancy, transforming the everyday experience of students and teachers.
The challenge
Colégio GAIA's main campus, in downtown Florianópolis, operated out of an old four-story building with thick walls. The structure blocked Wi-Fi propagation and caused ongoing network instability.
The signal failed to reach several classrooms, and school administrators needed dependable connectivity for hundreds of students at peak hours and for mission-critical academic systems.
The solution
We applied our managed infrastructure operation to redesign the entire environment with predictability and governance:
- Replaced the routers and the core switch, with centralized management.
- Installed a new rack interconnected by redundant fiber optics.
- Redistributed access points to deliver strong Wi-Fi across 100% of the premises.
- Built firewall policies, link redundancy, and load balancing to sustain performance without compromising security.
- Deployed a controlled, monitored guest hotspot for visitors.
Once the main campus was stable, we replicated the model at a new four-story campus — with network, Wi-Fi, and cameras designed from scratch — delivered in just 20 days.
