We rebuilt the network and added smart redundancy that transformed the experience for students and teachers.
The challenge
Colégio GAIA's main campus in downtown Florianópolis operated in an old four-story building with thick walls. The structure blocked Wi-Fi propagation and caused recurring instability.
The signal failed to reach several classrooms, and the school needed reliable connectivity for hundreds of students during peak hours and for critical academic systems.
The solution
We applied our managed infrastructure operation to redesign the entire environment with predictability and governance:
- Replaced routers and the core switch, bringing everything under centralized management.
- Installed a new rack interconnected by redundant fiber links.
- Redistributed access points to guarantee strong Wi-Fi coverage in 100% of the areas.
- Created firewall policies, link redundancy, and load balancing to sustain performance without sacrificing security.
- Implemented a controlled, monitored hotspot for visitors.
After stabilizing the main campus, we replicated the model in a new four-story building—network, Wi-Fi, and cameras designed from scratch and delivered in just 20 days.
